Financial Controller

Description

CRSA is actively seeking a Financial Controller for our multi-disciplinary design firm in our Salt Lake City (Corporate) office. This role oversees and coordinates all firm-wide financial operations, ensures financial operations function efficiently, and provides direction to managers responsible for financial activities. Directs the firm’s treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, benefit programs, and insurance activities. Manages the administrative team.

Our ideal candidate will have experience with Deltek Vision ERP software. Experience with this software is highly preferred. We are currently looking for a full time, salaried exempt hire.

Pay range is ($80,000-$100,000) depending on experience.

What type of person are we looking for?

We need someone who is efficient, organized, and able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff within the organization. The basic requirements include the following:

Minimum

  • 15 years of financial experience (management experience is a plus)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field  

Software Requirements:  

  • Exceptional MS Office Suite skills, especially in Excel
  • Enterprise level ERP software skills using Deltek Vision or similar program  
  • Professional-level interpersonal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Exceptional ability to organize work, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional fiscal management skills including budgeting, reporting, and resource planning
  • Strategic thinking, problem solving, root-cause, foresight and decision-making skills

Preferred

  • CPA or CMA
  • Knowledgeable of Architectural / Engineering industry or professional services related practices
  • Experience in personnel leadership including mentoring, recruiting, retention, employee performance reviews, and employment terminations

RESPONSIBILITIES

What would you do? Responsibilities will include the following examples:  

  • Manage all finance and accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Fixed Assets
  • Work closely with project managers to assist in project plan creation, reviews, reporting, budget management, and forecasting
  • Prepare operations budget, financial forecasts, and report variances
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and analysis
  • Coordinate tax reporting including 179D and R&D credit research
  • Oversee and direct the preparation and issuance of the corporation's annual review report
  • Direct and supervise the administrative team and ensure compliance with all applicable policies, laws, rules, and regulations
  • Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts and projections to effectively manage cash balances
  • Perform analytical reviews of monthly operating results to ensure the accuracy of reports
  • Direct the transactional processing of financial processes, including correcting and processing more complicated transactions
  • Calculate our quarterly Profit Sharing Plan
  • Serve as the Deltek Vision administrator; managing security rights, developing custom reports, creating custom fields
  • May process payroll and administer benefits
  • Occasional or regular other duties maybe requested, required, or assigned.
